How can I listen to Lutheran Radio UK?
There are many ways to listen to LRUK. The quickest one is to:
Click on the "Listen Live!" button at the top of this page (above the menu bar) to launch the radio player.

The newly opened Radio Player also lists alternative ways in which you can listen. Including Windows Media Player, ShoutCast directory, Winamp and many others.
Can I listen to the Lutheran Radio UK using my portable/FM radio?

Lutheran Radio UK is an internet radio station and does not broadcast on FM. However, newer receivers offer FM, DAB and Internet Radio with almost the same portability and ease of operation that you now enjoy from your FM radio but with added benefits such as enabling you to download podcasts onto them to listen whenever you want. Always read the specifications to make sure that the models offer what you are looking for.

Here are some models we have tested and can recommend:

How can I tune in using my mobile phone?

Download the free Lutheran Radio app from Google Play, App Store or Windows Store

Using any other Internet radio application:

  1. Access this website using your mobile phone and click on the Listen Live button
  2. Click on the Listen through your own media player link and choose "Open using [Internet Radio]"

Can I listen to LRUK in my car?

Any car stereo can be turned into an Internet radio by combining your mobile phone's Internet connectivity (see "How can I tune in using my mobile phone") with a connection between your mobile phone and your car stereo.

image unavailable: FM Transmitter CD only car stereo with no outside connectivity ports: Connect your mobile phone's headphones output to an FM transmitter (please note some Nokia and other phones have got in-built FM transmitters - no need for additional external FM transmitter). Set up your FM transmitter to a random frequency and tune your car stereo (in radio mode) into that frequency. Tune it to LRUK using your mobile phone as described in "How can I tune in using my mobile phone" FAQ.

Please note that you might experience the signal cutting off while in motion due to shortcomings in the current mobile data transmission technologies. This can be minimised by increasing the buffer size in the settings of your Internet radio application and you can continue listening to your favourite radio station on the go.
